Overview of NE555P Real-time Clocks (RTCs) & Timers

If both the trigger and threshold inputs are higher than the trigger level, the flip-flop is reset and the output is low. The reset (RESET) input has the ability to override all other inputs and start a fresh time cycle. When RESET is depressed, the flip-flop is reset and the output is depressed. When the output is low, a low-impedance route between discharge (DISCH) and ground is supplied.

The output circuit may sink or source up to 200 mA of current. The operation is defined for 5 V to 15 V supply. The output levels are compatible with TTL inputs when powered by a 5-V source.

NE555P Timer are accurate timing circuits that can generate accurate time delays or oscillation. The timed interval is regulated by a single external resistor and capacitor network in the time-delay or mono-stable mode of operation. The frequency and duty cycle may be adjusted individually in the a-stable mode of operation using two external resistors and a single external capacitor.

Typically, the threshold and trigger values are two-thirds and one-third of VCC, respectively. The control-voltage terminal can be used to change these values. When the trigger input drops below the trigger level, the flip-flop is set and the output is high.

Thank you for sharing this information, I am still interested in the NE555P Timer and 555P Timer, are these two related?https://www.perceptive-ic.com/news-detailed/How-to-Make-an-IC-555-Timer-Based-LED-Lighting-Decoration
